Sister Accord Awards Honor Wendy Raquel Robinson, Elise Neal, Bresha Webb & More! [Photos]
Recently, the Sister Accord Foundation held their Leadership Tea Party & Awards ceremony honoring 10 celebrity women in entertainment — Wendy Raquel Robinson (BET “The Game”), Bresha Webb (NBC “Truth Be Told”), Shanice (OWN “Flex & Shanice”), Elise Neal (Hollywood Divas/Veteran Actress, NAACP Winner), Terry Ellis (En Vogue), Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Nichelle Turner (Entertainment Tonight) and Nina Parker (Access Hollywood).
The Sister Accord Foundation is a non profit that encourages young women to become great leaders and is focused on positive, supportive and meaningful-relationships among young girls to stop the violence (self-inflicted or otherwise) that is rapidly plaguing our communities. Sonia Jackson Myles, founder and author of the Sister Accord: 51 Ways To Love Your Sister, hosted the star-studded event.
Held at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, the theme for the Tea Party was “Your Time To feel Special”. The event brought together a group of 50 high school aged young ladies, from across the city and suburbs of Los Angeles, along with 50 adult women mentors. The program was primarily focused on leadership development for the young ladies. The celebrities being honored also participated in a Power Panel with the students. Check out the photos!
