Aretha Franklin’s Prayer Vigil

A prayer vigil in Detroit, took place for the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, on Wednesday because of a planned ‘medical procedure,’ that caused her to cancel scheduled concerts. Fans and city council official JoAnn Watson organized a community meeting in the city to pray for Ms. Aretha’s health. After word got to her (Aretha), she released a statement saying, “All prayers are good.” And after her successful surgery on Thursday, she expressed that she is “blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country.”
