Thug Life :: Suge Knight on Probation for Driving Without Valid License

In February Suge Knight was busted for driving without a valid license (for the second time). According to TMZ, he pled no contest to the charge. From this incident, he has received unsupervised probation for 36 months (3 years). Unfortunately, this is nothing new for the Co-Founder and former CEO of Death Row Records. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison for probation violation back in 1997. In 2003 he was sent to prison again for violating parole after hitting a parking attendant. Aside from his inability to cooperate with the law, he also has trouble staying out of beef with other people. In 2006 he was in a heated verbal altercation with Snoop Dogg, whom he said insulted him in an interview with the magazine Rolling Stone. In 2008 he got into a physical altercation over money outside of a club and was knocked out for 3 minutes (ouch). The same year he was arrested for drug possession and aggravated assault after a night out in a Las Vegas strip club. When police got to the scene he, allegedly was beating his girlfriend, Melissa Isaac, and threatening to use a knife on her (ouch, again). The same year he sued Kanye West after a shooting that occurred at Kanye’s MTV Awards party, where Suge was shot in the leg. In 2009 Suge Knight was accused of participation in the robbery of producer Noel “Detail” Fisher. Wow!

And in not-so-thug-life news, Suge was recently trying his hand with reality TV. After starting the new record label, Blackball Records, he featured the production of the company in a reality show titled “Unfinished Business.” The show was never picked up by any major networks. About a year afterwards some of his belongings were auctioned off on the TV show “Storage Wars,” which follows auctioneers as they sell the belongings of people who have not paid their storage rent for 3 months or more. Although it’s pure entertainment, we certainly hope things turn around for Knight, but what do you think? Thug life forever?
