Chaka Khan Takes Temporary Custody of Grandchild, Alleges Son Abuses Drugs

According to legal documentation, Chaka Khan has gone through legal matters to take her 10-year-old granddaughter away from her drug addicted parents. She was recently awarded temporary custody asserting that she  already “assumed on a day-to-day basis the role of the child’s parent fulfilling both the child’s physical and psychological needs for care and affection.” According to reports, Khan’s son, the father of Khan’s 10-year-old granddaughter, has  a “heavy involvement in drugs.” Because of this, the judge temporarily granted an extension for custody.
