Anna Wintour Throws Fundraiser for Barack Obama…With A $35,800 Cover Charge

Anna Wintour, Editor-In-Chief of Vogue Magazine threw a huge star studded fundraiser for President Obama in NYC. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Anna Wintour, the book and movie “The Devil Wears Prada” is loosely based off of her character. The fashion fiends HEART them some Anna. Anywho, the event was co-hosted with Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman and held at the couple’s West Village townhouse. The cover charge to get into this invite only affair? $35,800 per person. Although some say we are in a deep recession, some of those with deeper pockets, don’t mind spending the bread to party with Obama. The guest list included: Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin, Jimmy Fallon, Alicia Keys and designer Vera Wang, along with NYC governor Andrew Cuomo. We hear that President Obama arrived around 7:10 and left 2 hours later. Before he left, he made a few brief remarks including, “This is a pretty good-looking crowd.” Not bad Mr. President.
