A Drake Comic Book, To Be Released

Besides his upcoming album “Take Care” (to be released next week), Drake has something else exciting and different planned for his fans. This January (2012), a comic book based on his rise to fame will be released. The comic book, titled “Fame: Drake” was written by Marc Shapiro, and is illustrated by artists Mike J.C. and Joe Phillips. Shapiro said,
“What makes Drake such a distinctive creative personality is that he’s not just one thing. His music encompasses hip-hop, rap, old style rhythm and blues, soul and pop.”
He also explained that how his research of Drake’s life made him realize what a “refreshingly real and down to earth” person Drizzy is.
“When was the last time you heard of a celebrity blowing off a lucrative tour to be at his mother’s side during her stay in the hospital? Drake did just that. You could die of old age waiting to find somebody who has as much soul, creatively and as a human being, as Drake.”
Sweet.
