Monica Tells Wendy Williams :: “I Would Love to be Pregnant”

Wednesday, singer, Monica, visited the Wendy Williams show to give fans an update on her marriage and music. Monica, who has been married to Shannon Brown for a year, shared some of her wedding details–like her bridesmaids included singer, Ciara; Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant; and T.I’s wife, Tiny. Peep some excerpts from the interview:

On How She Met Shannon:

“I’m very spiritual and I believe that sometimes we have a plan for ourselves and God has another. So, I had decided that it would just be me and my kids. I think sometimes I see a little bit too much, because of what I do. I see what the men do when the wives aren’t home, so I was like I’ll just be alone. Then I went to work one day, we were shooting the ‘Love All Over Me’ video. And I go into the video shoot and he walks in. And, of course, he’s so easy on the eyes. So we met at the video and I always say we had one long date that’s gone on for two years now. We’ve been married one year, as of last week.”

On Their Marriage Ceremony:

“We did [our marriage] Justice of the Peace style. It’s wasn’t so much that it was a secret, it’s just that we didn’t announce it, which is like the new way for everything. [Our family and friends] all knew; they helped us prepare. We had to bring the Justice of the Peace to our house…[Later] on July 9^th we did the actual ceremony.”

On how she feels about the lockout being over now:

“I’m secretly sad because we got to spend so much time together. Now it’s back to business, so I’m kind of sad too.”

On being pregnant:

“No I’m not [pregnant]. We would love to be, and we practice regularly. So it’s not a big deal.”
