Heavy D Documentary To Air on Sunday

Jamaican bred rapper Dwight Myers famously known as Heavy D was one of the most influential men in the music industry. And as you know, he helped the careers of other famous artists like Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Queen Latifah, Jay Z and others. In addition to his music, Heavy also branched out into roles in television and movies. He was in a few episodes of the famous 90’s show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and his most recent role was in the movie Tower Heist as a courthouse guard. The rapper passed away last November, at 44, due to a blood clot in his lungs.

To honor his legacy, Centric TV will air a documentary chronicling his life and achievements on Sunday (February 26) entitled, Be Inspired: The Life of Heavy D. The documentary will feature interviews with some of Myers closest friends like Will Smith, Queen Latifah and Mary J.Blige. It will also include excerpts from his last live performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
