Amar’e Stoudemire Punches Fire Extinguisher, Gets Stitches, Then Says Sorry on Twitter

Monday evening, Amar’e Stoudemire’s temper got the best of him. After the Knicks lost Game 2 to the Heat, Stoudemire was so frustrated that  while walking down the hallway to his dressing room, he punched a glass-enclosed fire extinguisher. He ended up receiving multiple stitches and will be out for Thursday’s game. Tyson Chandler confirmed,

“He’s probably going to be out [Thursday]. I don’t know how bad it is. Amar’e is a huge piece to this team. Without him, it’ll make it more difficult. We already lost one player [Iman Shumpert]. That’s two players out of the starting lineup.’’
