[Video] Mary J. Blige Sings National Anthem At Kentucky Derby … Did She Nail It?

Decked in all red and a mean crown, Mary J. Blige performed the Star Spangled Banner at the 138th Kentucky Derby.

Initially, there were some ‘folk’ that were concerned that Blige’s rendition of the classic song would be too untraditional (a riff here, a riff there) and a bit too ‘soulful’ (my words, no ‘theirs’), for the traditional Derby crowd. Peep her performance and chime in on whether she nailed it.
