[Photos] Iyanla Vanzant Hosts Private Screening, Says @EvelynLozada Has Changed, Explains Why She’d Like Session W/ Ochocinco

In anticipation of her new show on OWN’s network, Iyanla Vanzant hosted a private media dinner to promote ‘Iyanla Vanzant, Fix My Life’. The event, hosted by Demetria Lucas, was well attended by other New York A-listers–Star Jones, Mona Scott-Young, Gayle King and Jay Manuel. After screening the anticipated episode of ‘Fix My Life’ that features Evelyn Lozada, the floor was opened up to the guests for questions that Mrs. Vanzant answered herself. Peep a few excerpts.
On Evelyn Lozada contacting her for help:
“I had to go back and watch season one and season two [of Basketball Wives] in one day. By the end, I was eating chocolate with no bra on…Every woman is a midwife for the woman coming behind her. I am responsible for the energy I bring into the room.”
On whether or not Evelyn has changed since their meeting:
“Oh she has changed… I’ve had a boo-boo who put his hands on me. And I stayed for nine years… I think that before we get angry and turn our noses up at sisters like that, we need to find out what they need. Because 4.6 million people watched that show. So 4.6 million people thought it was okay.”
On whether or not she would do a ‘Fix My Life’ with Chad Johnson:
“Absolutely, I hold that in prayer… I think it would be incredible to do Chad, but he’s not ready…”Ochocinco” means you never know what you have until you lose it.”
Tune into OWN this Saturday at 10p.m. for Part One of Evelyn’s interview.
