So what’s the issue? On Sunday night’s special episode, Miss Lawrence alluded that he was not properly compensated for the song. He also noted that because of the incident with Kandi, he’s not a fan of doing business with friends. After the episode aired, Kandi took to twitter, responding to his comments. She wrote:
Closet Freak didnt sell hardly any copies. There was nothing left after paying the producer & recouping what i paid 4 studio time & mix fees.
Ouch. Anywho, the new season airs next week.

Maybe the marketing aspect wasn’t promoted much outside of RHOA. I would think since Atlanta has the persona population of homosexuals that it should have been very successfully. Hmm, I wonder if Adam Lambert had sang the song or if RuPaul would have had a hand in it would it have made the billboard charts. Just a thought! Anyway, artists need to make sure they understand the contracts and how “THEY” will “PROFIT” before they sign on the dotted line.
OAN: I don’t think Kandi did anything out of line. However, the incident with Kim and now Lawrence is going to stain her a little, especially with new artists. But her being in the business awhile she will be ok.
Also, I like the song with the exception regarding the “butch” chorus. The song itself could apply to anyone who felt their mate only pays attention to them behind closed doors.
All I know is, I want that feathered coat thingy that he wore on last night’s episode!
This song definitely had potential. It is a shame that it was not marketed properly. I could definitely hear it played in New York and Miami clubs.
