Two A-List Celebs Rumored To Be Engaged, Both Remain Mum

It should come as no surprise that some of our favorite celebs ‘said yes’ and got engaged on Christmas day. By now, you’ve heard that 46-year-old Janet Jackson and 33-year-old Brandy are reportedly one step away from being off the market. To date, no official comment or confirmation has been received. In the event that the cupid rumors are true, were giving you the low-down on these two pending brides.

First, Miss Janet Jackson. The baby sister of the late, Michael Jackson, has been dating her billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana for two years. There are conflicting to reports as to WHEN she became engaged. Some say it happened on Christmas day, while others (like Us Weekly), suggest it went down earlier this year. We hear, although we haven’t seen it, that the rock is HUGE (which isn’t surprising). If the couple make it down the aisle, this will be Janet’s third marriage. In late 1984, she eloped with James DeBarge and then secretly married to dancer/director Rene Elizondo, Jr. in 1991. She was later involved in a long-term relationship with music producer Jermaine Dupri before ending it in 2009.

Up next, Brandy Norwood. Rumor has it that her music executive boyfriend, Ryan Press, popped the question on Christmas day. This too, should come as no surprise as Brandy has expressed in a number of interviews, how she’s wanted to be Mrs. Brandy Press. This summer, we interviewed her and asked her how she envisioned her wedding day:

I would love for it to be intimate. I’m a simple girl, I’m not even into the diamonds and stuff. I would love for it to be with people that I know and love. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Honestly if it were up to me I would just do it and get it out the way.

Meanwhile, an insider tells Us Weekly

“They are thrilled and happy and Brandy feels this is so right.”
