Wale Digs Deeper In His Pockets, Announces Plans to Give Away More College Scholarships
Last month, Wale made a college student’s dream come true, by awarding her a $25,000 college scholarship. The Hampton University student’s name was Lauren Pryor and she is majoring in psychology. She won the scholarship by participating in a radio contest where she called-in.
What’s most incredible about this story is that Lauren was in desperate need of some financial assistance. She explained:
Winning this scholarship was truly a blessing. Almost not returning to Hampton University in the fall because of expenses, I was exceedingly fortunate to receive this scholarship. It was truly a test of faith.
But there’s more. Wale’s giving streak isn’t over just yet. The MMG artist announced on twitter that he’d be giving away even MORE scholarships to college students.
Gonna do two more scholarships during school year … U CAN expect more scholarships from me… Trust n beleive . I think I’m doin art schools exclusively next semester..
Dope, right?! Stay tuned, as we find out more details. Hopefully, some TJB readers can apply!
