Kerry Washington & Cast Attend Saks Fifth’s ‘Scandal’ Themed Event
After a three month hiatus (give or take a few days), the cast of ABC’s ‘Scandal’ showed up for a promotional event at the Saks Fifth Avenue flag ship store in NYC. The show’s leading lady, Kerry Washington, was in attendance (wearing Prada), along with cast members and the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes. The event was a promotional campaign developed to market the show’s viewers into Saks stores across the country. The nationwide campaign, with the Scandal-themed window displays, feature clothes from Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, and more labels worn by Olivia Pope. Perfect for those obsessed with fashion, right? Curated by the show’s costume designer, Lyn Paolo, Kerry said of the SAKS display:
It’s thrilling. When I landed at one in the morning I came straight here from the airport because I was dying to see the final product from all these phone calls and brainstorming sessions, and it’s really thrilling.
Co-star Darby Stanchfield added:
My hair stylist on the show said, ‘Um, babe, we need to cut an inch off your hair because they’re going to match a wig. I was like, ‘What’s this for? Who’s making a wig of my hair?’
