Malinda Williams Says ‘Exhale’ Proves Black Women Don’t Have to Be Combative and Argumentative On Television
Malinda Williams: I would never say what anybody deserves – that is not my place. God decides who gets what as far as I’m concerned. Nobody’s going to take anything away from me so I’m not concerned about what other people get.
TheJasmineBrand: When is the last time you cried?
Malinda Williams: Yesterday.
TheJasmineBrand: You wanna share?
Malinda Williams: Well, I will say this – I was acting. But no, when I cry-act – when I cry in my work, it’s always real; it’s always from a real place. But I was filming a movie called ‘Marry Me for Christmas’ in Atlanta and we were doing sort of a very touchbing emotional scene last night so as you asked me when was the last time I cried – that was the last time I cried.
