Actress Mo’Nique to Host ‘Love & Hip Hop NY’ Reunion + SPOILER ALERT!

There’s a new face hosting the highly anticipated ‘Love & Hip New York‘ reunion show. For the past 4 seasons, one of the show’s executive producers, Mona Scott-Young, has played host, grilling the cast during the reunion show. But this year, she has gracefully bowed out, as the network has snagged actress and comedian Mo’Nique (real name Monique Angela Jackson). The Academy Award winning actress is familiar with holding court on TV with an audience, as she hosted her own talk show (The Mo’Nique Show) for two years on BET, not to mention she’s hosted the BET Awards three times.

We caught a few behind-the-scenes photos of her filming with this seasons cast, including Yandy Smith, Erica Mena, Tahiry Jose, Tara Wallace, Erica Jean, Amina Buddafly, K.Michelle, Peter Gunz and Saigon. Speaking of the reunion show, we’ve been doing a bit of ear hustlin’ and have a few alleged spoiler alerts.

First, we hear that Peter Gunz’s new wife, Amina Buddafly is expecting. According to The Breakfast Club, the singer showed up to the reunion show (last month) with a bun in the oven. Our thoughts? Two weeks ago, we caught a photo of her in the club, holding a bottle of champagne, so we’re on the fence here. Second rumor involves a brawl of sorts. Reportedly, Erica Mena and exotic dancer/budding rapper Nya Lee are involved in a physical altercation that results in Miss Mena being punched. Our thoughts? The show has been known to have a scuffle or two, but nothing too serious. However, with Mona not on stage, it’s likely that something physical may have occurred. Lastly, the light-weight love triangle between Erica Mena, Cyna Santana and Rich Dollaz allegedly becomes exposed. In short, we hear that Cyn ends her relationship with Erica, after learning that Erica had been cheating on her with Rich Dollaz. Our thoughts? Watching this season, it appears that there’s definitely a love connection between Erica and Rich. Last week, Erica hinted that her relationship was on the rocks, when she tweeted the photo below

Anywho, this is all speculation at this point. No official date for the reunion show has yet been released.
