[UPDATE] Lil Kim Keeps Identity of Child’s Father Private, Says Pregnancy Has Motivated Her

Who needs a publicist when there’s New York Fashion Week to make a statement!

Lil Kim (real name Kimberly Denise Jones) stunned fans Thursday evening, when she showed up VERY pregnant for The Blonds show.

A number of attendees snapped photos and reported that the 39-year-old was indeed expecting.

Using high-profile events to announce a celebs pregnancy is becoming quite the norm. Both Beyonce and Amber Rose used award shows to debut their bumps. Earlier this year, Kerry Washington confirmed her pregnancy at the Golden Globes.

Lil Kim has yet to release a statement, but congrats are definitely in order! This is her first child.

UPDATE #2. Lil Kim has officially confirmed her pregnancy, telling Us Weekly:

I’m so excited! I’m a few months along, I can’t wait to be a mom!

She added that fans shouldn’t expected time off.

I’m still going to work. I’m still going to be hardcore. The baby has made me even more of a beast!

During her first public appearance as an expecting mom, she took to the stage at The Blonds Fashion Week after-party telling the audience

I’m a mom, but I can turn it up a little!

Indeed, the 39-year-old rapper doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. No word on the identity of the unborn baby’s father has yet been revealed, as she’s chosen not to share the information yet with the public.

UPDATE #3 Looks like the father of Lil Kim’s unborn child is her boyfriend, Mr.Papers. According to Bossip, he’s a New York rapper and if his name sounds familiar, it’s because last year, we caught the two announcing their break up on Twitter. Looks like they’ve worked out their differences. Since the baby news broke, the proud papa has tweeted congrat messages from fans.

Anywho, congrats the happy couple!
