[Photos] Wendy Williams Explains TV Hiatus

Wondering just where TV host, Wendy Williams has been for the last week or so? The ‘Say It Like You Mean It‘ TV personality is taking a hiatus, spending some quality vacation time with her husband, Kevin and son, Kevin Jr. Wendy shared photos of her relaxing, telling fans:

Wendy’s family fun in the sun vacation comes just a week after her latest ‘beef’ with former Basketball Wives star, Evelyn Lozada.

Last month, during her ‘Hot Topics‘ segment, the gossip queen threw a bit of shade towards Evelyn, her hubby-to-be, and even former Basketball Wives BFF Shaunie O’Neal. She congratulated Ev and pro-baseball Carl Crawford on the birth of their first son together. She accidentally nicknamed her newborn a “cash register” before announcing how much her baby dad was worth to further her shade:

I want to congratulate Evelyn Lozada. Evelyn gave birth to a cash register, oops I mean baby boy with her fiancé the 142 million dollar Carl Crawford. I didn’t mean to make that cash register joke but you see why it can be easily said. Evelyn girl, congratulations and Carl like a lot of sports players and artist, he’s not a bad looking man but he certainly wasn’t getting the likes of Evelyn Lozada if he wasn’t playing baseball, do you understand what I mean? She’s upgraded him and now that she’s had the baby, he’s upgrading her.

That 5-minute segment within Wendy’s ‘Hot Topics’ didn’t sit well with Evelyn. The following day, Evelyn responded to Wendy’s comments. Using Twitter as her platform of choice, Evelyn threw a few jabs back and even suggested that Wendy’s husband had some type of inappropriate relationship, outside of his marriage. She wrote:

You know @WendyWilliams, I never bother anyone. I even bought you a beautiful bouquet of flowers congratulating your broadway debut… Since u want me 2 open Dulce n LA. Maybe ur man can come 2 that store & purchase shoes 4 another woman like he did @ my Miami store. Bloop! Oh…BTW…he purchased the Casadei suede over the knee boots triple platform just in case you wanted to know.  #DontComeForMe  #INeverBotherU.  #NowPutThatOnHotTopics

Wendy never responded to Evelyn’s tweets and our guess is, she never will. Anywho, the Wendy Williams show returns April 14th.
