Stevie J Released From Jail After Child Support Arrest: ‘I’ll get my day in court!’
He’s a free man! Popular reality TV star Stevie J (real name Steven Jordan) has been released from a Fulton County Jail. As previously reported, the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast member was arrested Monday in Georgia on New York charges that he failed to pay child support.
An attorney for the music producer has denied prosecutors’ allegations that his client owes $1 million in child support.
On Wednesday, he was released on a $25,000 bond. After his release, he told the Associated Press:
It feels great. I’m home with my wife. I’m just ready to get this behind me.
Reportedly, federal prosecutors in New York say in court documents that Jordan missed many child support payments for two children he had with a former girlfriend. The 17-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl currently live with their mother in Pennsylvania.
