[Interview] Exclusive: Karrueche On Hosting Gig, Media Criticism & Chris Brown

Karrueche: It feels much better because before people had the perceptions of me based on media and what other people said and people nowadays can make up anything about you. It’s nice–people are finally seeing me and my work ethic. I did take a break when I was with Chris but at the end of the day I am a hard worker and even before him I had two jobs. Now I’m focused on me and getting my stuff together.

How do you keep your skin so smooth?

I would say drink lots of water and try to get much sleep. I do a lot of face masks, Target has good $2 dollar face mask which are amazing.

When can we see Karrueche ‘turn up’?

You’ll see it one day. One day you will.

What ventures do you have coming up?

The clothing line I was working on “The Kill Society”, I put a hold on that. I’ve just been focusing on the hosting and acting. I’m taking acting classes. I’ve been doing different collaborations, I just did a t-shirt collab with Pac Sun. So July 4th, I have t-shirts with my face on it. They’re available at Pac Sun in store(s) and online right now.

How did you keep Chris’ welcome home surprise party from him?

I just told him, its been a while. He was in jail for a few months. I told him it was a while since we were able to do something together. So I told him I had something planned for me and him and was just going to be ‘me and you.’ I told him I was going to blindfold him which I did. He was super surprised, he didn’t expect it.

How did you feel about the media backlash saying he shouldn’t be partying so soon?

I can do anything and they’ll make anything into anything. It was kind of expected and at the end of the day, welcome home. Why wouldn’t we celebrate and have a good time? There wasn’t drugs or anything like that at the party, it was a good time, close friends, not a crazy party.
