Rapper Remy Ma Officially Released From Prison: I’m back!
Great news for Remy Ma (real name Reminisce Smith) fans. On Friday, the 34-year-old rapper was officially released from prison. Remy had been incarcerated for She’s spent past 6 years in prison after being convicted of shooting a former friend in 2008.
Friday afternoon, she posted a short, but sweet message on her Instagram page:
I’m back!!!
Remy’s initial release date was Thursday, July 31st. There are conflicting reports as to what delayed her release. According to XXL, she had been in trouble for having an unauthorized phone interview (with Power 105’s Angie Martinez), a week before her release.

I like Remy. Dont condone what she did but everyone makes mistakes and some people aren’t who they say theory are 99% of the time. However, Papoose seems like he really levels her out. I wish their family the best.
