School Rejects Nicki Minaj As Speaker: I Guess I’m Not Good Enough!
No, thank you! That’s what Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Tanya Maraj ) was told when she attempted to go back to her school as a guest speaker. The 31-year-old artist took to Twitter, telling her followers that she was very disappointed after learning she’d been rejected by the principal to speak. She wrote:
I wanted to go back to my HS and speak to the students but the new principal declined. No need for me to inspire them, I guess. Smh..That school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it.
She also RT’ed a few fans, who also seemed to be baffled as to why her former high school declined:
No word as to why the school declined Minaj.
