[Photos] Ray Rice & Wife Make 1st Public Appearance Since NFL Suspension
As previously reported, in February, Rice was arrested after he got into a fight in an elevator at the now-closed Revel Casino in Atlantic City with Janay his then-fiancée. Initially, a video surfaced of him dragging an unconscious Janay out of the elevator. The couple later married in March, and Rice pleaded not guilty as New Jersey prosecutors sent him to a program for first-time offenders.
The couple apologized publicly for the incident, and the 2013 Super Bowl winner was suspended for two games.
On Sept. 8, TMZ released a video taken inside the elevator showing Rice punch Janay, knocking her unconscious. That afternoon, he was cut by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL. [New York Post]
