[EXCLUSIVE] R.Kelly Owes Government $6.3 MILLION

taxes. Then months later he was hit with a 2nd lien for failure to pay taxes for 2011, owing the federal government an additional $1,379,695.11. The grand total for both liens totaled $6,227,767.82. Both liens are still active which means he hasn’t paid off the debt yet.

Then on September 9th, the Illinois Department of Revenue filed a NEW lien against Kelly accusing him of failing to pay taxes for the years 2009, 2011 & 2012. The total tax debt they claims he owes comes to $146,532.96.

The new lien brings Kelly’s total tax debt to $6,374,300.78.
