Paula Patton Officially Files For Divorce From Robin Thicke
In July, Thicke spoke publicly about their split. In a radio interview with Hot 97, he shared:
I mean yeah, I try to keep most of that private but…yeah, I haven’t seen her in four months man….And you know we’re cool and she’s the best girl in the world, great mother and still a good friend but you know because we weren’t ever together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologize to her for and things I wanted to take responsibility for — that’s pretty much what the album is about. But I also want to wish her well and let her know that she’s a great person and she deserves to have a good life and that’s not all a negative album…
He added:
You know, I’m a man, I messed up. And had to lie for awhile. Then I stopped lying. That was actually good for me because I was tired of lying. So this whole album is me revealing everything.
The couple had been married for 9 years.
