(EXCLUSIVE) Director Lee Daniels Threatens Damon Dash To Cease $25 Mill Legal Action
theJasmineBRAND.com reports that on November 12th, Daniels filed his response to Dash’s $25 million dollar lawsuit. According to the court documents, he explains that it’s interesting that Dash never mentioned in his lawsuit which contract Daniels breached.
Reportedly, the director says the deal they made for “The Woodsman” specifically mentioned the risks of investing in a motion picture and many factors could lead a film to not bring in a profit off the budget.
Daniels suggests Dash’s complaint is too vague, saying he has no idea what agreements he is speaking about. The director demands the lawsuit be dismissed unless Dash can explain his allegations clearly. What’s more? The documents note that if Dash files an updated complaint and it’s ill-found, he will go after him for sanctions for filing a frivolous lawsuit against him. See the court docs.
