Mariah Carey Gets Emotional, Has Teary-Eyed Meltdown During Christmas Show
We’re all entitled to having a moment, correct? Such has been the case as of late for Mariah Carey. Since separating from her estranged husband Nick Cannon, all eyes have been on her — especially when she’s on stage.
Recently, the 45-year-old’s nerves got the best of her, with her having what folk are describing as a ‘melt-down’ on stage. Reportedly, she got emotional during her first holiday concert on Monday, Dec. 15, inside NYC’s Beacon Theatre.
According to US Weekly:
The songstress took to the stage in a tight bejeweled red gown, where she sang her holiday hits including “All I Want for Christmas” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.” At one point, Carey unexpectedly lost a shoe but continued singing as she clutched her heel in one hand and a gold microphone in the other.
The most poignant moment from the Elusive Chanteuse’s show, entitled “All I Want for Christmas Is You: A Night of Joy and Festivity,” was when she sang her trademark 1993 ballad, “Hero.” Carey powerfully delivered the hit, until tears started streaming from her face.
