Kerry Washington — better known as Olivia Pope on Thursday nights — is covering Net-A-Porter’s The Edit issue. On the Bjorn Iooss photographed cover, Kerry rocks a jacket by Isabel Marant, with earrings compliments of Jennifer Meyer Maguire. In the interview, the Scandal star reveals the difference between who she really is vs Olivia Pope; how Thursday nights consume her life (she even tweeted during her labor); and whether or not her real-life husband is Team Fitz. If she has a social life on Thursday nights:
Oh yes, I have no social life on a Thursday! Every Thursday within three weeks of my [daughter Isabelle’s] due date, I loaded up pre-tweets based on the episodes and what I would want to say.
If she tweeted while in labor:
I tweeted in the very early stages of my labor. I figured that if I went completely silent on social media, then people would know I was in the hospital!
If there’s anything she doesn’t like about Olivia Pope:
I love her. To me she’s like family, and with family, it doesn’t matter if you like them or not, you love them no matter what. I don’t always agree with her choices, but I have a lot of compassion for them.
