Rihanna’s BFF Melissa Forde Launches Bucket Hat Line [Photos]

Last night, Rihanna’s BFF, Melissa Forde, celebrated the launch of her line of bucket hats. Held at New York’s Opening Ceremony, RiRi was in attendance, lending her full support.

The launch was in honor of Melissa’s mini collection of bucket hats that were designed in collaboration with rapper Wale‘s clothing line Wrkng Title. Melissa is the newly appointed Creative Director.

The M$$xWT Spring 2015 line currently consists of three designs (Rihanna wore the Pink Pineapple version at the event). In an interview with The Fader, Melissa explains how the collaboration with Wale happened:

Wale is a really good friend—I’ve known him for quite some time, he reached out and asked me to work with WRKNG Title on some skullies. [When he reached out], it was summer and I was mostly wearing bucket hats, so I suggested that we start doing those instead.
