Then on May 19th, Mariah fired back at her former employee stating the woman did work for her from October 2013 to February 2014. The pop star says the woman did live with her while taking care of the kids, but she was never NOT paid for her services.

Mariah said says the ex-nanny is lying about her terminating her due to showing too much affection to her children. Further, the singer blasted the idea that she violated labor laws and explained that the woman was paid for every hour she worked. Mariah also says that DaCosta was a live in domestic service worker and was paid under those guidelines.

Mariah also accused her former employee of filing the lawsuit in bad faith and only in an attempt to harass her, claiming the allegations are frivolous and groundless. She demanded the lawsuit be dismissed and her ex-nanny be awarded nothing.

Then on June 9th, docs were filed in the case that explain Mariah and DaCosta have reached a settlement in the legal battle. The two parties have come to a private agreement which will dismiss the entire case and all claims against Mariah and Nick.
