I’m not going to act like I’m not afraid. Deciding to have a child at the age of 45 is very risky and when I first found out that I was definitely pregnant I went through a lot of emotions; fear, excitement, anxiety and stress. I find resolve in knowing that the person I am having this child with absolutely adores me and wants to build a family with me so I’m excited about the possibility of that.

I think all babies are miracles! As it pertains to Halle, I looked at her as inspiration and said she did it, Alyssa Milano did it, Gwen Stefani did it, Julianna Margolis did it… Why not me? People put more emphasis on my age when this is not new, other women have done it and received nothing but congratulations, [so] not sure why my announcement was viewed so negatively.
