NeNe Leakes Quits Real Housewives of Atlanta: I decided to step out on faith.

Confirming the news with People, she states:

This was definitely a hard decision for me. Me and my husband [Gregg Leakes] have been going back and forth on it for weeks now. But my contract is up and I just think this is the right time. This is my opportunity to spread my wings and do different things.

NeNe, Kim Zolciak

If you’re an avid RHOA viewer, you’re aware that NeNe is the only original cast member on the show, after 7 seasons. But it appears that she may be ready to move on. Keep in mind, we may continue to see more of NeNe on reality TV, with her spin-off with Kim Zolciak — NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches. Earlier this year, NeNe excitedly confirmed the spin-off news, writing on Instagram:

IT’S OFFICIAL!!! Kim Zolciak Biermann and I have our own spin off show only on #BRAVO! We announced it today in New York City with our entire Bravo & True Entertainment family. Thank you for believing in us! we are about to hit The Road To Riches!
