(EXCLUSIVE) NBA Star DeShawn Stevenson Fighting to Save Florida Mansion from Foreclosure
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, NBA star DeShawn Stevenson is fighting to save his Florida mansion from foreclosure, blasting the bank who is suing him — claiming that he has made all his payments.
Back in September 2014, Stevenson was sued by U.S. Bank National in a Florida court. The bank accused the NBA star of defaulting on his mortgage and they demanded the court allow them to kick him out of the mansion and sell it off at auction.
The lawsuit explains that Stevenson took out a $1,061,250 note for the home back in 2005. Everything was going well until March 2014, when the NBA star stopped paying the mortgage and didn’t make a subsequent payments that were due.
U.S. Bank National accused Stevenson of owing the full amount on the loan + taxes and interest. They also demanded they be allowed to kick him out and sell the home.
