Flex & Shanice Host Private Screening + Shanice Performs New Music!

 Once there, they mixed and mingled with the attendees, took pictures, gave hugs, shared a few laughs before taking their director-style seats at the front of the room.  An OWN moderator guided the view party and Q&A session.  All of the cast (Shanice’s mother, Crystal, stepdad Mike, cousin Ruba, uncle Spirit, and Flex’s hilarious cousin Ed and their children Imani and Elijah) shared their experiences on the show, but most notable were Flex and Shanice’s testament about how they’d lost everything before the show was picked up.  They ‘testified’ of how grateful they were.  Flex had to correct himself, “We didn’t lose everything because I didn’t lose my family,” he restated.

After answering multiple questions from journalists, Shanice took to the center of the room to serenade us with her soon-to-be-released song, “Another Lonely Day in California.” She also sang her 1991 radio smash, “I Love Your Smile,” much to the crowd’s excitement.  You can see snippets of both performances and photos below.
