Eminem made a rare red carpet appearance this week at the NYC premiere of “Southpaw.” Mr. Marshall Mathers joined stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, and 50 Cent, telling Extra why he decided to pass on the role (he was offered the lead), but ultimately ended up executive producing the soundtrack,
I feel like it turned out incredible, the timing wasn’t right for me at the time, but I always felt like this film had the potential to be special and I think it really is, so I knew I just wanted to be involved in it somehow.
