Drama Pops Off After K.Michelle Announces Home Furnishing Line
What should be an exciting time for K.Michelle (real name Kimberly Michelle Pate) has turned into a bit of a controversy. The soulful singer — who most of us were introduced on the Love & Hip Hop franchise, coupled with her own spin-off — has announced her latest business venture, a home goods line.
Over the weekend, she announced on Instagram:
Can’t believe this is really happening. So excited about my new home good line. It has everything from my custom designed furniture, my doggie beds, candles, bed and bath accessories. Coming to a retailer near you. Thank you so much @nicologyrules bringing my vision and passion to life. Details coming soon???? Custom orders will be available! Pick your own colors
So what’s the issue? An Atlanta area furniture company called Huff Furniture in Buckhead claims that K.Michelle’s furniture isn’t exactly authentic. One of the company’s owners wrote the following on Instagram:

I Iike that she went a diffrent direction. She didnt do the tired clothing line.
AMEN!!
Agreed. Nice she’s trying something a little different. On another note, why is everything handled on social media? If this company really felt ripped off, then why not reach out to her camp directly and discreetly instead of posting it online? Very unprofessional.
Very!
Welp, they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I must say, the IG pics speak volumes for both parties. On one hand, we aren’t blind. We clearly see this is the SAME pic of “Luxurious” furniture. However,on the other hand, Huff Furniture wasn’t exactly rolling in the likes department. Huff could have definately settled this in a confidential BUSINESS meeting. I get it, they want to protect their BRAND. I must admit, you should only BARK if it hurts the brand tho.
