50 Cent Donates $100,000 to Autism Speaks
Kudos to Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson. The controversial rapper and mogul is making good on a not so nice incident involving him and a 19-year-old autistic teen named Andrew Farrell.
He’s donated $100,000 to Autism Speaks. He explains that he wanted,
to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks.
He adds,
I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.
As previously reported, 50 had posted an Instagram video of Andrew, making fun of him and suggesting that he was high. It was later discovered that Andrew was autistic and suffered social anxiety. Andrew’s family requested that 50 donate $10k to an autism advocacy group and apologize.
