1st Look! Denzel Washington & Viola Davis in ‘Fences’ [Photos]

Here’s the first look at Fences, directed by Denzel Washington and starring Denzel and Viola Davis. Fences is an upcoming drama film based on August Wilson’s play of the same name.

The film stars Washington, Davis, Jovan Apedo, Stephen Henderson, Mykelti Williamson, Russell Hornsby, and Saniyya Sidney.

Set in 1950s Pittsburgh, a former Negro league baseball player, now working as a waste collector, struggles to provide for his family and come to terms with the events of his life.

Principal photography on the film began on April 25, 2016 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The film is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2016, by Paramount Pictures.
