Bobby Shmurda To Serve 7 Years In Prison, Accepts Plea Deal
Bobby Shmurda will spend time behind bars. According to a new report, today the rapper and two co-defendants, Chad “rowdy rebel” Marshall and Nicholas McCoy, accepted a plea deal from the prosecution, agreeing to serve seven years in prison rather than risk trial.
Reportedly, under the deal, Shmurda pled guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy — this carries a sentence of 1-3 years. He is also charged with 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession, which carries a sentence of 7 years. The two will be allowed to run concurrently, meaning he will face a maximum of 7 years in prison. Under the terms of the deal, Shmurda will get credit for time served, which is nearly two years. This means he has five years remaining on his sentence.
