Teyana Taylor Didn’t Give Up On Love After Drama With Brandon Jennings & Ex BFF Tae Heckard
Despite a messy break-up prior to her current relationship, Teyana Taylor did not give up on love.
As you know, a few years ago, the singer/dancer was involved in a messy split, ending a relationship with NBA baller Brandon Jennings who allegedly cheated on her with Lashontae Heckard, Teyana’s then close friend.
This week, when she appeared on Wendy Williams, she was asked about the situation. Wendy told the audience,
She had a best friend that slept with her man, okay. Now, let’s break it down. Are you still friends with her? Cuz Teyana, there are a lot of dumb girls who would forgive the friend and stay with.
To this, Teyana said,
Oh, I ain’t seen her since. But most importantly — remaining a good person and allowing myself to love again is why I am, where I am. I have a beautiful baby, I have a wonderful husband and I’m just very excited.
In the interview, Teyana also opens up about her relationship to her NBA hubby Iman Shumpert (yep, she calls him hubby, revealing that they were secretly married), how she’s living in God’s timing (as opposed to her own) and how she’s in a good space.
