While most social media members are using instagram to showcase their interest and daily activities, first time filmmaker Kobie Randolph used the free platform as a resource to turn lemons into lemonade. Mirroring the filmmaking style of the very determined Bowfinger (character played by Steve Martin in the feature film “Bowfinger”, 1999) Randolph concocted a brilliant idea to compile all of his instagram photo and video post to document his first two years as a transplant in Los Angeles. “Project Hollywood” will follow the charismatic Kobie Randolph as he arrives in Los Angeles, anxious to close a distribution deal for the Entertainment company he has spent the last ten years building in heartland America. Once he takes a seat at the signing table the deal completely falls apart right before his eyes. With all of his belongings packed in his car, currently homeless and only $900 to his name, he is determined to make it in Hollywood one way or another. Faced with immeasurable odds Kobie devises a plan to infiltrate Hollywood’s Elite Circle to reach his goal. From crashing high profile events, to hosting lavish galas, Kobie develops a larger than life persona to gain the relationships of the powers at be. Along the way he grabs the unwanted attention of the demented and jealous, chief of security for S.E.M., that oftentimes services the Red Carpet events he crashes. Now he has to turn his Larger Than Life Persona into Reality before the Industry’s Elite finds out that he actually may not be exactly what he appears to be …
