(EXCLUSIVE) Jeezy Sues Promoter For $1 Million
Jeezy Sues Promoter For $1 Million
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) has slapped a concert promoter with a $1 million dollar lawsuit, accusing him of running around town trashing his name and now he is demanding damages for the harm to his reputation.
Earlier this year, promoter Darryl Austin sued Jeezy over a deal they had for a Houston, Texas concert. The rapper was paid $30k – hand delivered – and the rest was to be wired.
Despite the promoter spending money on advertisements, radio spots and booking the venue, a month before the concert he got word Jeezy wouldn’t perform unless he was paid extra. The rapper never showed to the concert and the promoter sued him for fraud demanding $100k+.
Now, the rapper is firing back at the promoter denying he committed fraud. He is adamant he was never paid a dime for the show and the person who negotiated the alleged concert is NOT his rep.
Jeezy counter-sued the promoter explaining after he informed him he was duped, the man threatened to “go public”, which the rapper says he doesn’t respond to threats.
The promoter proceeded to send out an email blast to all ticket holders trashing Jeezy and then posted defamatory statements on social media that were picked up by media outlets.
He is demanding $1 million in damages.
