Taxstone Shut Down In Bail Hearing
Not so good news for Taxstone. According to Bossip, the popular podcast personality may receive more time behind bars in connection with a gun charge case stemming from a shooting at a Tip (aka T.I.) concert in Manhattan last year. According to the site,
Taxstone – real name Daryl Campbell – appeared in New York federal court May 9 for a pre-trial hearing, where his lawyer, Ken Montgomery, was supposed to make an application for bail. In a letter to the judge last month, Montgomery argued that Taxstone should be let out on bail as he has a job, and didn’t go off the radar in the aftermath of the shooting, which left one man, Roland “Banga” McPhatter, dead, and several others wounded. Montgomery also said that rapper Troy Ave, who has been charged with the more serious crime of attempted murder in connection to the shooting, is out on bail, and it didn’t make sense that Taxstone was still behind bars.
