Eric Garner’s Oldest Daughter, Erica, Dies At 27

Very sad news. Erica Garner, the daughter of Eric Garner, has died at the age of 27. The sad news comes a week after she suffered a devastating heart attack. Her passing was confirmed by a family member who was running Erica’s account. They tweeted,

She passed away this morning The reports are real. We didn’t deserve her.

As previously reported, she suffered a heart attack last Saturday. The heart attack was brought on by an asthma attack Christmas Eve. She leaves behind two children. Garner became an activist, after her father Eric, died as a result of a police officer subduing him with a chokehold in 2014. His last words were “I can’t breathe”, which became a slogan for activists.
