Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell Join ‘Superfly’ Remake
Jason Mitchell has been cast in the Sony Superfly remake. Directed by Director X (real name Julien Christian Lutz ), the project will re-live the ’70s cult classic.
Trevor Jackson, who currently stars alongside Yara Shahidi in Grown-ish, has also been cast and will play Youngblood Priest. Mitchell will play his business partner, Eddie.
Rapper Future will produce alongside Joel Silver. Steven R. Shore, Matthew Hirsch, Hal Sadoff and Aaron Ausch will serve as exec producers.
Mitchell currently co-stars in the Showtime series The Chi. His most recent credit includes the Netflix drama Mudbound.
