Shantel Jackson Denies Taking Advantage of Ex Floyd Mayweather
Shantel Jackson is denying claims that she took advantage of ex boyfriend Floyd Mayweather Jr, by going on shopping sprees that he was unaware of and taking full advantage of his credit card.
The 33-year-old Platinum Life reality star, is addressing claims that the retired boxing champ made in his counter lawsuit against her. As previously reported, Mayweather alleged that Shantel went on shopping sprees without his knowledge.
According to court docs filed, Shantel, who is currently dating rapper Nelly, says Mayweather was aware of all purchases she made on his credit card while they were together.
Back in 2014, after Jackson sued Mayweather for alleged assault, battery, defamation and invasion of privacy. In return, he counter-sued, accusing her of using his credit card without his knowledge.
Jackson says the boxer consented to the alleged transactions and for her to be in possession and/or own the disputed property. She is demanding his entire case be thrown out.
Last month, Mayweather filed his civil complaint against ex, claiming she would make purchases with his money and then have them shipped to a secret location to cover her tracks. He claims that during their time together, Jackson would praise him in public to gain his confidence – and allegedly dupe him into thinking he could trust her. The doc reads,
As a result of that confidence, Mayweather, whose education ended at eighth grade, did not audit or otherwise inspect either his cash or his credit card statements for theft by Jackson.
He says he discovered this when a mutual friend told him she had been bragging about taking advantage of him.
Jackson sued Mayweather in 2014, accusing the athlete of physically beating her during their relationship and later publicly humiliating her on social media by posting on social media that she had an abortion.
