EXCLUSIVE: Flo Rida Settles Lawsuit with Ex-Lawyers over Unpaid Bill
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Flo Rida (real name Tramar Dillard) has reached a settlement with his ex-lawyers. The 38-year-old rapper will pay Billet Hillsley & Billet & Associates $40k over his unpaid legal bills.
Here’s the backstory: Flo Rida was entered an agreement with the firm in 2010. At the time, they agreed to represent him various legal actions. On the legal issues that he faced was a lawsuit filed by a fan over injuries she allegedly suffered at his concert at a nightclub.
The firm sued Flo, claiming that he had refused to pay invoices for their work dating from August 2012 until May 2017. They were seeking $52,517.52 in damages for the unpaid balance, costs, interests and other fees.
Recently, docs were filed revealing Flo Rida and his ex-lawyers reached a settlement. He agreed to pay them $40k in two installments. However, if he defaults, he will be required to pay the entire $52,517.52 plus interest.
