Two of Suge Knight’s former lawyers, Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper, have been arrested. The two previously represented Knight in his murder case. Reportedly, Fletcher (53) was held on $1 million bail and had been arrested for accessory after the fact, defined in California law as,
Harboring, concealing or aiding a person whom you know has committed a felony, in order to protect him or her from arrest, trial, conviction and/or sentencing.
Culpepper was also arrested for accessory after the fact. Previously, Los Angeles County prosecutors claimed Fletcher, Culpepper and the Knight had tried to bribe witnesses. The alleged conversations about convincing witnesses to fabricate testimony were recorded and transcriptions were presented in court.
