Rihanna Allegedly Working On Lingerie Line
Rihanna is allegedly working on a lingerie line. Reportedly, TechStyle Fashion Group has snagged a deal with the 30-year-old singer. We hear that the company has been working on the project for more than a year and samples have already been produced. The rumored line is viewed as a key strategic move in TechStyle’s efforts to file for an initial public offering.
Rihanna isn’t new to the fashion industry. In 2011, she announced her first fashion venture with Armani. In February 2013, Rihanna presented her first women’s spring fashion collection at London Fashion Week for British street fashion brand River Island, collaborating with her personal stylist Adam Selman. She’s also collaborated with numerous fashion house’s including Dior, Stance and Manolo Blahnik. In March 2015, it was announced that Rihanna had been chosen as the new face of Dior; this makes her the first black woman to be the face of Dior.
In 2014, Rihanna became the creative director of the fashion sportswear Puma, overseeing the brand’s women’s line which will include collaborations in apparel and footwear. She’s released various other footwear in different colorways and styles. In 2016, saw Rihanna debut her first clothing line in collaboration with Puma at New York Fashion Week; the collection was met with rave reviews from fashion critics. She has also received the Fashion Icon Award.
